This week it feels like our project is getting serious! After the meeting with Chris we agreed it was a good idea to book out the audio equipment that would be required for each day of shooting, even though we knew some dates may change. I know personally how quickly equipment at media loans can get booked up, and organisation has effected my grade on previous projects so I was extremely keen to not let this be a factor here.
We worked out what equipment would be needed on what days and we booked it via Luke Johnston’s account. This included small things such as radio mics for the days were the dialogue was extremely important and extra equipment like cables and batteries which will be incredibly important for the ZOOM recorders as it is notorious for students to return them with very little power left! I was relieved to get these bookings completed especially for the media students as I understand they rely on us as much as we do with them.
Meanwhile, the media students were holding rehearsals and a run through of the script and this involved the inclusion of new actors to the piece to fill in the roles of supporting actors.
The role of Claire was taken by Megan Emery-Hughes (second from left) and the role of Ben, Matthew Carruthers (far right).
